President Yoweri Museveni has flagged off 10 Ugandan ICT talents to take part in the Huawei Seeds for the Future training program. This training program is set to run from the 16th to the 30th of April 2016 at the Huawei headquarters in Shenzhen China. It is expected to equip knowledge to the Ugandan talents in areas of telecom strategy, ICT industry trends and newest technology and equipment.
This program was announced to the President in March 2015 during his state visit to China and was officially launched in Uganda on 5th April 2016 during the Huawei annual technology festival at Serena hotel, Kampala.
Huawei Managing Director Stanley Chyn said, “We intend to take 10 talents every year to our training centers in China and we know they shall benefit from this program in terms of ICT knowledge transfer.”
