MultiChoice Uganda has reduced subscription fees for its DStv packages effective 1st November 2016 alongside a massive content upgrade. DStv premium has been reduced by 14% from Ushs 334,000 to Ushs 287,250 with an addition of eight High Definition (HD) channels. The Compact Plus package has been reduced by 15% from Ushs 225,000 to Ushs 190,700 and 11 additional channels. The Compact price has also dropped from Ushs 128,000 to Ushs 121,600 with 6 more channels added on the bouquet while the Family package now goes for Ushs 66,750 from Ushs 73,000 with 5 additional channels.
Speaking at a media breakfast held on 18th October at the Kampala Serena Hotel, MultiChoice Public Relations Officer Tina Wamala said, “The significant price drop, coupled with the major boost in entertainment value across all DStv bouquets demonstrates our commitment to ensuring customers receive the best possible access to great entertainment and outstanding value.”
Charles Hamya, the Company’s General Manager said, “For new customers the price reductions in both subscription prices and state of the art decoders at just Ushs 130,000 will ensure that great family entertainment is available to everyone at the most affordable price.”
