The Minister of Works and Transport, Hon Monica Azuba Ntege recently appointed a new Board of Directors for the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) for a three-year term effective 25th May 2017.
The new Board Chaired by Eng. Edward Mike Ndawula who also served as Chairman of the previous Board from 2014 to 2017 was inaugurated at a ceremony held at Kampala Serena Hotel late last month.
Speaking at the event, Ntege urged the new board to build on the achievements of the old Board and devise ways and means of overcoming the challenges.
She challenged them to increase CAA revenues by 20% and ensure timely completion of ongoing projects for upgrade and expansion of Entebbe International Airport by exercising focused oversight over management.
